Hopeless place

"Its like you're screaming but no one can hear. You almost feel ashamed that someone could be that important, that without them you feel like nothing. No one will ever understand how much it hurts. You feel hopeless like nothing can save you. And when its over and its gone, you almost wish that you could have all that bad stuff back so you could have the good."

Final major project.

So it's finally come around, my last year at college. It's unbelievable how much it's just flown by!, anyways let's talk about my final major project which has been influenced by jonas akurland and Steven Klein. There short films are just mind blowing and I've thought about creating my own for my final major project. So here goes with my idea: I'm basing it on a young girl who goes through domestic violence and the first scene will be her in the bathroom looking into the mirror holding her bruised face whilst she takes some form of drug dose. And starts to hallucinate This scene will involve both filming from the mirror scene and her walking into her bedroom Once she gets in bed she then drifts off ( dead or alive?) Now here's the tricky part! It will then flip into what's going on through her mind to make us understand why she is doing this to herself. And then for the ending of the film... Well I didn't want to ruin it but she then gets woken up my her sister I guess this film is going to be hard to make it actually look professional but all I can do is do my best with it. The whole short film will just be music all the way through.and should I mention that because it will be before watershed there will be no violent or graphic scenes or nudity. Also as for the audience it will be mostly aimed at 16-18 year olds both genders.
I would also like it if you would leave me a comment on your opinion on this idea and any advice, thankyou.

There will use of flash photography, drug use such a cigarettes, ecstasy.

Jonas Åkerlund

Jonas Åkerlund was born on November 10, 1965 he is a Swedish film and music video director. He is best known for directing music videos, which are often mock forms of movie trailers and short films. His video for Madonna's song "Ray of Light" won a Grammy for Best Music Video, Short Form, and a record seven awards at 1998 MTV Video Music Awards, including the Video of the Year. One of my favourite short films is "try" Set in 2000 about a young couple in love and their drug addiction in Stockholm. They yearn for the warm sun in Califonia. Some of the scenes were recorded at Central Station and Slussen in Stockholm. Some scenes are graphic and some scenes grabbed my emotion. It's a film that I think happens everyday in society. Everyone in America will always want the American dream but for this couple, just having each other is enough.

Inspiration

Steven Klein a genius inspiring photographer and director. He was born April 30th 1965 and is based in new York. I bet you are wondering what makes him so inspiring?.Klein has created some of the most memorable, iconic images of our time by subverting our notions of glamour, fame, and beauty. His abstract detail of genuine and narrative photography work has became a global sensation.Klein formally trained as a painter at the Rhode Island School of Design, and formally began his photography career in Paris with a commission from Dior. Since then, he's been sought out by designers including Calvin Klein, Alexander McQueen, Tom Ford, and Dolce & Gabbana. The reason I chose to write about Steven Klein is because I'm going to use his abstract fascinating work to create my own idea of a short film/music video.
